Introduction: Desert Cruiser by Truckfighters

Opening Song: Krijgsvolk by Heidevolk

Horns resound in the Northland
The warlust is born
Faithful in battle until in death
Sworn by Balder’s death
In the name of the Allfather and our tribe
We go in to battle
To ride to the great hall
To avoid Hel’s cold realm

(we) Sharpen our spears
And forge our blades
The barditus shall again
Sing to/about Walhalla
Where mead flows and womanly beauty
Bring us meat and our drinks
There where laughter and hero song
Will sound forever

Second Song: Arcane Montane by The Sword

Tell me, O Mountain, what secrets do you hold
Buried deep beneath the earth in hidden walls of stone?
If ever man in all his days climbed your mighty slopes
To behold the gods as they danced, and listen as they spoke.

Tell me, O Mountain, your secrets!

Hear me, O’Spirits, I would ask of thee,
To locate a lass who’s fair of form and deliver her to me
The road can be a lonely place to pass the time,
Watching and waiting as the miles roll by.

Hear me, O Spirits, lend me your aid!

Tell me, O Mountain, what secrets do you hold,
Crowded on your misty feet or deep within your bones?

Tell me, O Mountain, your deepest secrets!

Third Song: Wicked Game by Chris Isaak (Covered by London Grammar)

The world was on fire and no one could save me but you
It’s strange what desire will make foolish people do
I never dreamed that I’d meet somebody like you
And I never dreamed that I’d lose somebody like you

No, I don’t want to fall in love
No, I don’t want to fall in love
With you, with you

What a wicked game you play to make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you
What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you

And I wanna fall in love
No, I wanna fall in love
With you

The world was on fire and no one could save me but you
It’s strange what desire will make foolish people do
I never dreamed that I’d love somebody like you
And I never dreamed that I’d lose somebody like you

No, I wanna fall in love
No, I wanna fall in love
With you
With you

Nobody loves no one.

The Great Fire was a major disaster which affected downtown Helspeth, Washington on August 10, 1903. It began just after 6:00 p.m. and destroyed the city’s downtown commercial district. Due to technical problems with a pump station there was no water pressure in the city when the fire started.

In a desperate bid to starve the fire, firefighters began razing buildings with dynamite. After 20 hours of rampant spreading the winds finally died down and the fire exhausted of its own accord. As a result of the fire and its aftermath 42 blocks of Helspeth’s downtown core were destroyed and approximately 200 lives were lost.

Closing Song: Helvegen by Wardruna

Who shall sing me,
Into deathsleep sling me,
When I on the path to Hel go,
And this track I tread
Is cold, so cold, so cold.

I sought the songs,
I sent the songs.
Then the deepest well
Gave me tears so harsh
From the Slain-father’s pledge.

I know everything, Odin,
To whom you gave your eye.

Who shall sing me,
Into deathsleep sling me,
Whence I on the path to Hel go,
And this track I tread
Is cold, so cold, so cold.

Early or in the day’s end,
The raven still knows if I fall.

Once you stand at the gate to Hel
And when you have to tear free,
I shall follow you
Over Gjallarbrú with my song.

You will be free from the bonds that bind you,
You are free from the bonds that bound you!

Cattle die,
Friends die,
So, too, must you die.
Though one thing
Never dies;
The fair fame one has earned.

Cattle die,
Friends die,
So, too, must you die.
I know one,
That never dies;
Judgement of a dead man’s life.
